WEEK 6 UPDATE (04/11/2023)
Regular Season Over!!!
Score tally has the defending champs All Love in the top seed. Great effort but not good enough for the rest of y'all. The good news is competition isn't over yet for the rest of you underachievers (jk). We are on to the knockout rounds. Let's see if the standings mean anything. We've now entered the do or die stage. Whoever loses in the next round gets an early vacation. The winners, prove themselves once more and move on to the championship stage.
Calling out those who have yet to settle your fees. We've been lenient in allowing play throughout the regular season. In the knockout rounds, game officials will be overseeing the list of unpaid members. You can settle your payment there or in advance, otherwise you forfeit your ability to play. Don't let your team down. We forwarded this list to the captains of the teams and they should have communicated this with you. In case they have not, you know you haven't paid, and we expect you to be responsible enough.

Almost done with the regular season folks. Now we get to enjoy a week off and prepare for the last round of games. Then it's the knockout rounds. Good luck to everyone - rest up - we'll see you April 7.

WEEK 4 UPDATE (03/20/2023)
It's the 2nd half of the season. Before we know it, it's the championships. We are working on getting a new batch of jerseys for those who ordered after the season started.

WEEK 3 UPDATE (03/13/2023)
First half of the season over. Each team should now have faced each of the teams at least once. Looking forward to the second half!

WEEK 2 UPDATE (03/05/2023)
2 weeks in and so far so good. We encourage all players review the league rules. Uniforms have been distributed to the no uniform no play is now enforced. There were some exceptions because we ran out of uniforms and there were some mixups in the delivery but all will be corrected soon enough.
At this time, it's been multiple weeks since the season started and rules have been communicated both here and in the FB groups and the same message has been sent for over 2 months now. We have given enough time/guidance for compliance. If anyone has any questions/reservations/concerns about the rules enforced/implemented, an audience with one of the commissioners is always open - which is reason why we great the league management team. Rules will be strictly enforced so it's fair for everyone and does not favor anyone at the expense of others.

Week 1 - DONE
So the season started and week 1 is over. Fun games all around. Big thanks to our league officials and everyone's participation. We welcome feedback and we appreciate them. Please feel free to make suggestions to how we can make the league better, we've heard some good ones we might look at pitching maybe in this season or the next but keep em coming!

SEASON 2 OPENER Tomorrow (02/24/2023) - 02/23/2023
It's that time again. Commissioners have been working hard ensuring good and exciting matchups for Season 2. Can the mighty All Love with their core squad (plus a few new players) defend their title and continue to be the league's best team? Each team is a mix of new faces with some PBL Elite vets. We've also welcomed a few new "imports" to this mostly Filipino(if not Filipino by heart) league as our community has grown.
Things to look forward to for this season:
New Jerseys! Yay! Jerseys (if you paid for them) will be used for multiple seasons. If you didn't you won't be able to play because they'll be required.
Strict enforcement of rules. No pay - No play.
Traction pads. Yup - these were hot items last season and we will continue that tradition.
Community and Competition.
More commissioners to complain to. So just air out those grievances. ;)

PRESEASON OPEN! - 02/13/2023
We begin season 2 with an extra round for players to come out and have that first pass playing with their new team. For Season 2, only the defending champs get to keep their squad. Other teams are drafted through a careful and thoughtful selection process by the commissioners. New team roster along with assigned team captains will be announced shortly within the week.

Purpose
Friendly competitive basketball league dedicated for Filipino (and for those with Filipino connections) basketball lovers, 30 and up ... maybe younger too. Catering to the greater Sacramento area.
What we've done
Season 1 is in the books. As Season 2 preparations are underway, we've had the privilege of building community with all of our members in the past season. We continue to see that community continue to grow and carry over to season 2 with a lot of new faces.
We continue to be a space of expression of competitive spirit and love for basketball. Truly proud of the community we've built and looking forward to growing this again. We've expanded our connections to over 211 members in our FB page (and counting). Again we constantly work to improve the league, and make the experience better. This year we have even more joining us in managing the league. Appreciate all the support!
